There really are very few guidelines- mostly just suggestions. The best photos are front facing photos but it is really a matter of taste. Make sure that the top of the head is not cut off so that we can blend the photo seamlessly into the page.
Resolution is important for print so hopefully your photograph is at least 200dpi or even better 300dpi. A good rule of thumb is to make sure the star's face in the photograph is at least the size of a nickel.
If you are submitting a group photo please indicate to us which face is intended for the book. Likewise if you choose the option of submitting several photos (for an additional fee) to be included in the book please indicate which one you would like for the cover.
